Cookie Policy
This policy explains the advertising measurement and browser-storage technologies used on the Creative Canal website.
1. Consent preference
We store a small preference in your browser’s local storage so the website can remember whether you accepted or rejected optional advertising measurement. It does not contain your name, email address or message content.
2. Google Ads measurement
The site includes the Google tag for Google Ads account ID AW-18420976143. Google Consent Mode is configured so advertising and analytics storage are denied by default and updated when you make a choice in the cookie banner.
If you accept, Google may process advertising or measurement information such as page visits, ad-click information, browser/device details and related identifiers in accordance with Google’s own terms and privacy policies. This helps us understand whether advertising leads people to Creative Canal and measure actions such as WhatsApp enquiries.
3. WhatsApp conversion measurement
If you have accepted optional advertising measurement, clicking a Creative Canal WhatsApp enquiry link can send a Google Ads conversion event and a Meta Contact event. These measure a link click, not a completed conversation. We do not send the pre-filled WhatsApp message, your message content or your contact details as Pixel event parameters. If you reject optional measurement, neither of these WhatsApp events fires.
4. Meta/Facebook Pixel
We use Meta/Facebook Pixel, provided by Meta Platforms, to measure advertising performance. The Pixel is blocked by default: we do not load its script or send its events until you accept optional cookies. After acceptance it sends a PageView and records WhatsApp enquiry clicks as Contact events. Meta may receive page URLs, IP address, browser/device details, ad-click information and cookie identifiers, and may associate events with a Meta account for advertising measurement and optimisation.
The Pixel may set _fbp (browser identification) and _fbc (Meta ad-click information, where present), typically lasting up to three months. Meta controls its own storage practices; see Meta’s Cookie Policy and Privacy Policy.
5. YouTube and Instagram
Portfolio videos use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced embed domain where available. YouTube may use cookies or similar technologies when you interact with a video. Instagram examples on the site may link you to Instagram, where Meta’s own privacy and cookie terms apply.
6. Hosting
The site is hosted on Netlify. Like most hosting and content-delivery services, technical request information may be processed to deliver, secure and troubleshoot the website. This is separate from our optional Google Ads and Meta Pixel measurement choice.
7. Your choices
When you first visit, you can choose Accept or Reject. You can reopen the banner using in the footer. To withdraw consent, reopen Cookie settings and choose Reject. This disables subsequent Meta events, removes accessible first-party Meta Pixel cookies and returns Google Consent Mode to denied. It does not erase information already sent. We ask for a fresh choice when introducing Meta, even if you previously accepted Google measurement. Clearing website data in your browser may remove your saved preference and cause the banner to appear again.
8. Third-party information
For more information about how third parties use data, review the privacy information provided by Google, YouTube, Meta and Netlify.
9. Changes
We may update this policy when the technologies used on the website change. The latest version will be published here.
